Waves (Leuven, Belgium) is the reply to a need for high-quality sustainable lifestyle support for people with acute and long term health conditions and disabilities. Founders Katina and Bavo are passionate about empowerment and client-centred care, approaching health from a holistic viewpoint that encompasses the balance between mind, body and spirit.

And about the name, Waves? A subtle nod to Katina’s upbringing in the shire, a beachy area of Sydney. However, the concept of waves embodies much more. Sound, light, energy, even our heart and brain, so much of us and our world is interpreted through various wave forms.

If someone asks my what my art looks like, I reply; “A lot of water, heads, hands and feet.” Waves specifically emphasizes the importance of our head, hands and feet, because they contain more nerve endings than any other part of our body. It’s a match made in heaven, if you ask me…

As of June 2025 Waves customers are able to enjoy several of my paintings, spread over the locker rooms, lounge, shop area and the relaxation room. And yep, they’re for sale too.
